I'm fairly new to ALE teaching, but I've been a teacher of the arts in education for years and am interested in using the arts in the ALE environment.

Yeah, that's true. We were going over Stephen Crane poems in American Studies, and it seemed so clear that SC is doing that in some of his poems, "Weep Not, War is Kind" was the one we were going over. And I've been thinking of how hard governments try to hide coffins and photos. But I think you're exactly right about relationships--maybe all things that rely on ideas as well as actions--and it was fitting for Vday.
