Sean, You may already know this, but I've found you can resize photos so that they fit better on the blogs.
Just use some variation of the following:
img border=0 width=161 height=50 id="_x0000_i1029" src="http://www.nameofphoto.jpg"
All you have to do is tweak the heighth and width numbers.
