Poem of the Fortnight

Poetry 101

Talk softly
when you speak
of the rain

The moon
is mean
and true

A purple iris--
the poor poem's
tattered flag

This is really Monday's poem, but I missed the deadline because of the photo and only by five minutes, so give me a break. Sorry as well that it's lame, but I really have been thinking of that first stanza for the past two weeks. I'm at Governor's School thinking and talking about writing, so I'll try to do better.

I'd been waiting
for another poem
so this is good.

Have fun
at Governor's School,
thinking and writing.

Ha,
I'm such an ass.

Hey, you're still alive!

I wish I was a Gov. School. But my dad really didn't want me to go. Now I feel like I made a big mistake in not going. I feel so unproductive.

You changed the post, cheater.
I love purple irises. I wrote my first research report about in sixth grade.
